Thursday is a great day to check out Rio de Janeiro’s central region to experience the normal day in the life of a RJ Native. Both you and your partner (acompanhante) may start your day with breakfast at a little corner Juice Bar and getting smoothies made using real fruit. After that you can go to the numerous museums and galleries around the region. Near the top of your list ought to be the Museum of Modern Art.

Making mistakes and overlooking things is a normal part of learning when you are just beginning with scuba diving. A really good idea is to pair up with someone who is much more experienced. This will not only make your adventures underwater safer, but also you will learn little tricks that are helpful to know. Checking things at the right time is a good habit to get into. When you are on the boat heading for a dive point, it is too late to check to see if you have everything you need. Have a list of what you need at the dive shop, and don’t leave until you have everything that is on your list. Being a beginner, you will probably be renting equipment, so when you do, make sure that it fits.
