The best description that fits a whale shark is a mouthful of teeth and constantly hungry stomach. Yes, it may seem morbidly appropriate yet it is not the truth. The fact is that, compared to other shark species, the whale sharks are far different.

In general, the whale sharks are deemed as filter-feeders. Mostly, they feed on plankton, red crab larvae, macro-algae, krill, small nektonic vertebrates, squids and even small fishes. Whale sharks possess unique oral anatomy which permits it to gulp in water, filter for food and expuse the water using its gills.

Diving equipment for scuba diving can very expensive depending upon the type of diving that you are interested in doing. Most beginners wisely stick with the general diving conditions appropriate with their skill and knowledge level. There is a certain thrill that many people get thinking about the prospect of becoming scuba certified, making any challenges that they face not that difficult to handle. Your mindset should also be focused upon doing your best, not so much being excited about the prospect of diving. It is of great importance to stay focused as this knowledge will be with you for a lifetime. We think it is interesting that you can get your open water, basic scuba training and certification in a relatively short time. Similar to a home study course, diving certification is done as quickly as you can feasibly get it done.

Even though a certain amount of dives are necessary for your training, your instructor may ask you to do a few more to perfect your skills. You simply need to learn at your own pace, as some people are able to understand the techniques involved, and others take quite a bit longer. But that is a good thing because your diving instructor is doing what is best so you will be safe and competent when you walk away.
